The Good School is growing, and we need a leader who can guide the financial systems that will carry us. As our business director, you will have a day-to-day, ongoing impact on company operations, helping us to analyze and fortify our financial position.

Some nuts and bolts:
Take responsibility (either directly or via staff) for all cash management, investments, insurance, and financial reporting, and help drive the company’s financial strategy
Coordinate development of annual operating, capital, and program budgets, as well as reporting for the same
Develop and implement best practices to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization that has strong fiscal management, project coordination, cross-team communications, and workflows
Research, navigate, and coordinate current available grant programs through government and NGOs to be used to the greatest advantage.
Work with apprentices to provide mentorship in their business coursework, teach them relevant skills, and supervise their work results
Be involved with hiring, training, and managing support staff for this role
Preferred skills and qualifications
Master’s degree (or equivalent) with business concentration
Experience in startups, non-profits (we are not non-profit but it’s something that crosses our path frequently), investor relations, and cooperation with bureaucratic organizations
Experience in mentor roles such as teaching, coaching, training, and people management
Ability to streamline or implement structures that boost efficiency while supporting rapidly evolving business demands
Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics, using business management software
